New York City is big, loud, and tough, just like the song says.  Even so, just like the song says,  you can’t get enough.  Or can you? 

Many artists I know are pulling up stakes and heading for cheaper, greener pastures, and Street Level Initiative has started an interesting project to capture some data from the fleeing masses.  While still nascent, this collection of Artist Exit Interviews  is worth keeping an eye on.  Check it out, and, if you’re moving out, stand up and be counted before you skip town.
