It’s December 1st, and the holly-jolly is upon us.  It’s also World AIDS Day.  So, in the midst of  hall-decking and candle-lighting, let’s spend some time reflecting.  It is particularly important that we artists remember those we’ve lost to the disease, and how its impact has affected the art that remains.  AIDS punched a big hole in our collective history.  We must make efforts to recover what we can, yet we must also recognize the void that will persist, despite our efforts to mend it.
